User Verification

SquatchRV requires verification before users can complete risky actions such as booking a camper, listing a vehicle, receiving payouts, or driving and towing.

Why We Verify

Verification protects hosts, renters, and the platform by confirming the identity and eligibility of every user before they access high-trust actions. This reduces fraud, protects assets, and builds confidence across every booking.

Verification Levels

Level 1 — Basic Account Setup

Required for all users, and not identity verification

Email address verified with a one-time code
Phone number provided (ownership is not independently verified)
Profile name provided (not yet checked against identity evidence)
Platform Terms of Service accepted, recorded with its version and time

Level 2 — Renter Identity Verification

Required before booking a camper

Identity verified through an approved identity provider or a SquatchRV review — never granted from form entries alone
Legal name and date of birth supported by verified evidence
Home address on file
Payment method confirmed by the payment provider
Driver's license presented to the host when driving or towing is involved (SquatchRV does not verify license class, driving record, or insurance)
Rental rules and policies accepted, recorded with their version and time

Level 3 — Host Identity Verification

Required before listing a camper

Identity verified by an approved identity provider or a SquatchRV review
Legal or registered business name reviewed against identity evidence
Email address verified; phone number provided
Payout account connected and confirmed (PayPal confirmation or a SquatchRV review)
Camper ownership approved by SquatchRV against the title or registration and VIN
Listing photos uploaded
Insurance and protection requirements accepted, recorded with their version and time

Level 4 — Higher-Risk Rental Verification

Required when additional review applies

Motorhome rentals (Class A, B, or C)
Towable camper rentals with renter tow vehicle
High-value camper listings
Long-distance or multi-week rentals
Delivery-only rentals
First-time renter on the platform
Flagged or suspicious account activity

Verification Status Labels

Not VerifiedNo verification steps completed.

Basic Account CompleteAccount details and acceptances on file. Not identity verification.

Renter VerifiedIdentity reviewed and approved. Cleared to book campers.

Host VerifiedIdentity, payout account and camper ownership reviewed and approved. Cleared to list and receive payouts.

RestrictedUnder review — limited access.

SuspendedAccount suspended — no platform access.

Enforcement Rules

Users who are not properly verified cannot complete a booking.
Unverified hosts cannot receive payouts.
Users with Restricted status cannot initiate new bookings or listings.
Suspended accounts have no access to platform features.
SquatchRV reserves the right to request additional verification at any time.
